Elizabeth Schmitz - Zabette - Arlington Heights
Elizabeth is an Arlington Heights native and the mind behind Zabette. She studied fashion design at Columbia College Chicago and upon graduating moved to Montreal for a short time to work with a designer, Brit Wacher. Her design philosophy is to provide sustainable clothing that can be worn without hassle. Creating a new definition of ready-to-wear by offering unique, versatile silhouettes with utilitarian function.
In her spare time, Elizabeth loves to travel and bake. She’ll be off finding Inspiration in Australia and New Zealand for a few weeks during the New Year. Follow her adventures on @thestrayginger!

We'll be introducing you to our artists, taking the time for you to really get to know the brilliant minds behind your favorite products! With that, first up is:
Kaitlin Skye Collins, owner of the collective.
K8 (Kait) is Mount Prospect - born and raised and back for more. As the owner of the collective., she spends much of her time engaging with the Mount Prospect community and other artists. Outside of the collective., K8 is a dancer and traveller! She teaches at Mohler Dance Academy and dances with Hip Hop ConnXion HQ, a professional hip hop company. In addition to the shoppe, K8 works at Starship Travel and the Mount Prospect Chamber of Commerce where she gets to utilize her love of travel and dedication to her community.
In her not-so-spare time, K8 loves to travel. She recently returned from a trip to Ireland and London and is looking forward to spending New Years back in London and Amsterdam next month. K8 is so excited for the collective. to become a player in the Mount Prospect community, and looks forward to helping grow the atmosphere in our small business community.
